Position Overview:
As a Software Development Engineer in Test II (SDET II), you will play a crucial role in our quality-first engineering culture. This role involves working closely with development teams to build scalable test automation frameworks, improve code quality, and ensure delivery of high-performing, reliable, and secure software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable, maintainable, and robust automation test frameworks.
- Develop and execute automated scripts for functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing.
- Participate in design and code reviews, providing feedback from a testability and reliability perspective.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, QA Analysts, and DevOps Engineers in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Perform exploratory testing to identify potential problem areas from a user perspective.
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Monitor and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent and rapid deployment cycles.
- Provide root cause analysis and contribute to the creation of defect reports and documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or similar QA automation role.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript programming languages.
- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured, Postman.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and database testing.
- Familiar with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and QA processes.
- Experience working with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
Preferred:
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies.
- Exposure to Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of Performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with Security testing practices and tools.
- Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber, SpecFlow, or Behave.
- ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
